The City of Coburg (population 1,080) is accepting applications for the position of Finance Director. This position is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the Finance Department, including financial reporting and billing systems, budget development, investments, and URD finances with full accountability for results in terms of costs. This is a hands on position and applicants are required to have the ability to perform day to day financial operations such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, balance state pool accounts, monthly expenditure allocations, project costing and tracking, payroll, audit preparation, budget documents and drafting the annual budget and report. Supervises one p/t accountant. Responsible for financial management of the municipal wastewater project. Prior municipal, governmental or non-profit accounting experience and a working knowledge of Springbrook financial software are required. The Finance Director receives general supervision and direction from the City Administrator or person designated by the Council. Starting salary of $60,000 with excellent benefits and city paid PERS. Reference check and background investigation required.
